This supplement is said to contain antioxidants, minerals, amino acids and vitamin E to help support the body in its fight against uncomfortable menopause symptoms. These ingredients include:

When investigating the studies to support these ingredients to achieve all that the product claims to achieve, we couldn’t find sufficient evidence. Ingredients that have been shown to reduce hot flashes and other symptoms of menopause include Black Cohosh, Rhodiola, Chasteberry, Red Clover, and Yam to name but a few which are missing from this product. In 2015, the FTC filed a complaint against the manufacturer of Amberen for unsubstantiated claims. The customer reviews we found for this product are very mixed.
This product also contains a relatively long list of inactive ingredients. These ingredients provide no health benefits and may detract from the benefits provided by the active ingredients. These ingredients include Gelatin, Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide, Titanium Dioxide, Riboflavin, Carmine, and water.
Directions
The label states to take two capsules a day, one white and one orange. It is not clear what the difference is between the different colored capsules. The dosage should be taken after breakfast and it is recommended to use the product for at least 90 days for best results.

The cost of Amberen varies depending where you purchase the product. On the official site, the product sells for $39.99. We think this is quite expensive considering the ingredients don’t have much scientific evidence to support them in their use against reducing menopause symptoms.

Although they do not give a list of what adverse reactions may occur, the manufacturers warn pregnant or nursing women and people who are currently on other medication to consult their doctors before taking Amberen.

There are other natural ingredients missing from this product which do have clinical evidence to support them in reducing the symptoms of menopause such as Black Cohosh, Rhodiola, Chasteberry, Red Clover, and Yam. The long list of inactive ingredients is also off putting and the insufficient time frame of the money-back guarantee may suggest a lack of confidence on the part of the manufacturer.
